Very touching article from an Intended Parent’s point of view written in the New York Times by our client Kelli Auerbach.

Million Dollar Business
I recently read an article in Forbes regarding the rise of the one-person million-dollar business and it had me thinking, why aren’t large enterprises getting on board and doing business with more of us?
So, here’s a post to all of you large and bloated enterprises. Here are 5 reasons why you should do business with a one-person and/or micro business.
We actually answer the phone on weekends and sometimes holidays. You are a big ole’ company, that means we actually value your business more than our larger competitors do.
Just because we are small does not mean we are not mighty. Case in point, I have relationships with some of the largest insurance companies in the world and they actually value what I bring to the table. With that being said, Yes! I can handle your relatively small insurance need because I can actually handle your large insurance needs on a daily basis, if given the chance.
We like what we do. Otherwise, we would be doing something else. We take pride in that fact and we do it all with a smile. Wouldn’t you rather do business with someone who actually liked his or her job?
Honesty is hard to come by these days and we understand that, since our business is our brand and we are personally that brand, you can be sure that what we say we can do, we can ACTUALLY do.
We are creative and that could potentially help your business too. We think outside the box because we have to and because it is simply more fun to do so… If we bring you an idea and it seems out there.. Think more about it before you blow us off, it could help solve your problem.
So, next time you have a group of suits in your office offering to take you out to another boring restaurant, with lackluster conversation, think back to that great afternoon you had recently with the one-person business owner over a beer in a local brewery.
